Step 1: Prep Your Nails
Before applying your Green™ or Green Flash™ polish, it’s essential to prepare your toenails. This step ensures a flawless finish and vibrant color that lasts.
Begin by cleaning the nail surface of impurities (dust, oil, or residue) using Nail Cleanser or the Gentle Green Flash™ Remover. Then, shape your nails harmoniously with a natural nail file, and lightly buff the surface with a buffer sponge to ensure a smooth canvas for polish adhesion.
Finally, don’t forget to tend to your cuticles by applying a bit of Cuticle Softener to soften them before gently pushing them back with a Cuticle Pusher. With your toenails and cuticles neat and polished, you’re ready for the next step.
Step 2: Base Coat
Once your nails are prepped, apply a layer of Green™ Base Coat or Green Flash™ Base Coat. This forms a protective shield that makes polish application smoother while prolonging its durability. If you're using Green Flash™, dry the base coat under an LED lamp for the recommended time.
Step 3: Two Coats of Green™ or Green Flash™ Color
To achieve a uniform color on your toenails, start by lightly shaking the polish bottle to blend the pigments. Take a small amount of polish on the brush, wiping off the excess to avoid overloading it.
Apply a thin layer in three strokes: one down the center of the nail and two on either side. Be careful not to touch the cuticles or nail edges to avoid smudges. For Green Flash™, cure this first layer under an LED lamp according to the indicated time, then repeat the process for a second coat of color.
Step 4: Top Coat
The final touch to your pedicure is a top coat, which seals in the color and adds intense shine. It creates a protective layer that prevents chipping and prolongs the life of your polish. For a glossy finish, use Sunshine Top Coat for Green™ polish or Green Flash™ Top Coat for semi-permanent Green Flash™ polish. For Green Flash™, cure the top coat under an LED lamp as directed.
Step 5: Nourish and Hydrate
Finish your pedicure with a few drops of Green Oil, applied to your toenails and cuticles. This nourishing oil deeply hydrates and protects your nails from winter's drying effects. Use it daily to prevent cuticle dryness and keep your feet soft and smooth. For extra care, apply a dollop of Rose Balm for soothing and repairing, especially after a long day.
